Lisa’s “Bonus Feather” is the one that has “rocked my world”!!!! It is the style of Ivory Spring/Wendy Sheppard (who was my primary influence and was the subject of my post last Saturday–). I must say, again, since each of us have brains that are ‘wired’ differently, one of these techniques will be easier (or will ‘click’) for you than another. You will only discover the truth of this after times of………wait for it…..yup!….practice, practice, practice!!! I know this mantra may be getting old and a titch on your nerves possibly, but anything worthwhile is achieved through a pattern of repetition…..and I know you know that in your heart of hearts, dear Friends.
So let’s start our week flying high with this last feather tutorial!!!! Til tomorrow and the ———-yes!!!!——–Reveal!!!!

  2. Thank you for all these clear demos over the past weeks. The feed-back (to me) has been wonderful and inspiring to so many who have admired the “world of the feather” from afar and now have the courage and tools to go forth and feather!!!! LOL!!!!!!

  3. I’ve really enjoyed your feather tutorials, Lisa! I do have a question on the formal feather, though. It doesn’t apply in the wreath, but in all of the “end-to-end” layouts, there are partial feathers to begin the line/curve. Do you just leave them like that, or do you have a way of completing them?
    Thanks! 🙂

    • HI Sandy,
For me that first feather is almost always a partial. It falls near a seam usually. If I am in the middle of an open area then, no, I wouldn’t do a partial feather. Glad you enjoyed the tutorials!

  4. Thanks for all the great video you have help me learn more the you know! The bigs thing I have learned is they don’t have to be prefect. I have tried so hard to get them all so prefect it was driving me crazy. I’m still having trouble with the circle feathers, so thanks again for all the help I’m off again to practice, practice & practice.

  5. I have found your feather videos to be so inspiring. I hope you can do more etching videos for those of us who can’t attend a class with you (Canada). I learned so much. Thank you for sharing your talent.
