Busy Week….

Is it Saturday already???  Wow, this week flew by.  I didn’t have a whole lot of time to quilt but ended up getting quite a few quilts done.  God bless the IQ.   One of my very good customers, Gretchen Gibbons,  won Best Use of Embellishment at the Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza!  You go girl!  Gretchen designs her own applique patterns and used a variety of different fabrics in this quilt.  She used batiks, regular cottons and wool!!  Her bead work was beautiful if not a challenge to quilt around.  (Beads were on before the quilting)  I will post a picture of the quilt later.  Gretchen has also gotten her first book deal!! one of many I am sure.

I also have a quilt entered into Innovations in Washington and have not heard anything about it.  This is the basket quilt that Susan Cake pieced.  Very frustrating not to know how it did.   NO, I am not competitive.  LOL   I am still working on my quilt challenge and picked up the backing fabric for that and Brody’s Fascination.  I will start quilting it hopefully after I finish the Longwood Garden’s quilt.  They need that by Nov 9th.  Yikes…. I ‘ll start that on Monday.

Brandon started football.  I have never seen a more disorganized setup!!!  Oh well he enjoys it.  The first two weeks of school were uneventful which is good.

We are off to CHOP ( childre’s hospital of Pa ) for Brandon’s nasendoscopy on Thursday.  He is not looking forward to it and I can’t say I blame him.  God gave him the right personality to have to deal with this SH-T!
